I started finding great old Minolta glass (see list below) and I would be happy to sell it to you with either an early SRT 101 or later X-700. My friend Jay shoots an Olympus DSLR and I found out about: Using Minolta lenses on Olympus 4/3 DSLRs. The gist of the article is that using an adapter opens up a whole world of great glass to Olympus DSLR owners. Heck, I am thinking about picking up a used Olympus DLSR body--anybody want to trade a body for some combination of glass & cash?
I just got a less-expensive version of the adapter for $18 and I am anxious for Jay to try it out. I will let you know what he thinks (and whether he wants to buy it or if I can offer it to you).

$100 Vivitar Series 1 (MD-mount), 70-210mm f2.8-4.0 Macro Focusing Zoom (condition: 9+) w/ padded case. This is the renowned version 3 of this series (made by Komine). "The 70-210 Series 1 is a great lens for hiking and backpacking. It's light, reasonably fast and replaces several other lenses, not the least of which is a dedicated macro lens. The 1:2.5 ratio of the Vivitar is often good enough for flower and plant "macro" photography."

Classic Minolta SR-T 101 w/ Fast (f1.4) Prime Lens -- $99
Minolta SR-T 101 w/lenses, flash & camera case (all in excellent condition)
The fast prime can be used on your other film/digital SLRs with the right adapter. For example, $18 for Minolta MC/MD to Olympus 4/3 Adapter.
There is an SR-T 101 selling right now on Ebay w/slower f1.7 lens for $120 + S&H. These cameras were built to last and there is lots of life left in it for those willing to slow down and work with film.
This camera is in GREAT SHAPE (CONDITION: 8+). If you go over it very carefully you will find two or three very minor handling marks but the OVERALL CONDITION IS FANTASTIC! It is fully functional--it works!

I just took delivery of a Minolta lens to Four Thirds body adapter--I can't wait to see the results my friend Jay is going to get with his Olympus DSLR using this Fast Prime--Minolta 58mm f1.4 MC Rokkor-PF. I am so excited about this lens that I have another one ordered to make at least one other Alaskan can try it out.

Minolta X-700 MPS Camera--Complete Outfit (now incl. Fast Prime 58mm f1.4)
X-700 (MD-mount) Complete Outfit--two lenses, flash & camera bag. Now w/fast Minolta MC Rokkor-PF Prime 58mm f1.4 The X-700 was the top of the line MC/MD-mount camera that was sold until the year 2000. The one I am selling must be of the latter vintage since it is in such good condition. More details about the X-700
Update--I just shot a roll of Kodak 200 and every shot came out perfectly exposed--the camera works beautifully and is a joy to hold. The 58mm f1.4 lens gives stellar results. I just ordered a film winder for it to complete the package.
Why buy a Minolta film SLR? They are great cameras, however, the lenses cannot be used on digital cameras without using adapters (more on this here). Therefore, these Minolta SLRs are somewhat orphaned. What that means for you is premium gear at a big discount "there is a huge amount of older SR, MC and MD glass out there, some of it fairly new. No wonder there is so much interest in using these great old lenses."
